Live Scout Deep Dive
Tucked inside the lively New Bridge Landing corridor on the public side of Lake Anna, Vito’s on Lake Anna has cemented its reputation as a cornerstone of comfort food for vacationers and full-time residents alike. Founded on Old World recipes brought to life in Central Virginia, Vito’s strips away pretense in favor of generous portions, hot melted mozzarella, and an approachable, sun-drenched lake atmosphere. Whether you are stepping off a pontoon after a grueling afternoon under the Virginia sun or gathering three generations under one roof for a weekly cabin dinner, Vito’s provides the kind of hearty, crowd-pleasing sustenance that defines a classic lake trip.
The interior environment strikes a harmonious balance between a bustling neighborhood trattoria and an energetic lakeside hangout. On one side of the venue, you’ll find spacious booths and wide wooden tables built to handle sprawling family reunions, high chairs, and oversized pizza stands laden with sheet pans. On the other side sits The Lounge, Vito’s energetic in-house bar and social den. Complete with flat-screen televisions broadcasting weekend sports, a casual gaming corner, and a fully stocked bar, the lounge draws boaters coming in for draft beer, creative cocktails, and quick basket bites before heading back to the water.
The Kitchen: Hand-Tossed Pies, Garlic Knots & Coastal Italian Staples
At the culinary heart of Vito’s is their dough program and brick-oven deck. The pizza crust leans thin and golden with a firm, crispy undercarriage that resists sogginess even when loaded down with fresh toppings. Signature specialties like the WOW Pizza—featuring olive oil, ricotta, roasted red peppers, spinach, garlic, and red onions—offer a lighter, aromatic profile, while meat-heavy options and classic pepperoni deliver traditional pizzeria indulgence. If pizza is not on your agenda, the scratch-made calzones and stuffed strombolis arrive glistening with garlic butter and puffed to golden perfection.
The pasta and specialty entrée menu runs surprisingly deep for a lakeside spot. The Carne Tortellini, tossed in rich savory sauces, and the Chicken Piccata brightened with tender artichoke hearts, capers, and white wine butter sauce have earned loyal followings among regulars. The baked lasagna is legendary across Louisa County for its sheer scale: dense layers of seasoned ground meats, ricotta, and bubbling marinara that regularly yield second-day leftovers. Seafood lovers can pivot toward garlicky Shrimp Scampi or the spicy Cowabunga Shrimp appetizer, while those craving American pub classics will find comfort in the Godfather Burger—a towering, juicy patty topped with Italian-inspired flourishes and provolone.
Local Tip
Never skip the warm garlic knots. Baked fresh throughout the day and drowned in garlic-infused oil, parsley, and grated parmesan, they are the unsung hero of the menu. If you are feeding a hungry vacation rental house, order a double batch right away; they disappear within minutes of touching the table.
Logistics, Timing & What to Expect
Vito’s is situated along Lake Front Drive just off Route 208, sharing commercial space in a dedicated shopping complex. Unlike marinas that sit directly on bulkheads, Vito’s sits slightly inland in the complex, which means there are no private tie-up boat slips right at the front door. Boaters coming off the water typically dock nearby at High Point Marina or New Bridge Landing and make the short stroll or drive over. For motorists, the venue offers a massive, complimentary surface lot with plenty of room to accommodate large trucks, SUV haulers, and boat trailers without tight maneuvering.
Peak season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with Friday and Saturday evenings between 5:30 PM and 7:45 PM experiencing heavy rushes. While the kitchen runs efficiently, peak turnover times can stretch your wait, particularly for large vacation parties seeking communal tables. Vito’s operates a seamless online takeout portal; if you are planning a sunset boat cruise or a patio dinner back at your rental, placing your pizza and pasta orders around 4:30 PM for a scheduled pickup ensures your feast is boxed hot without tying up your prime evening hours.
Local Tip
Traveling with a mixed group of palates and dietaries? Vito's custom pasta builder lets you pair gluten-conscious choices, pestos, and grilled proteins, while salad fans consistently rave about the Bordeaux Salad—an unexpectedly upscale mix of crisp greens, candied pecans, tart berries, and grilled chicken that balances out the heavy carb selections.

Recent Impressions
"This pizzeria is right on the way and works well if you're in a pinch and need a quick bite. The pizza wasn't bad, though it could be better. It was freshly made, with a very thin and crispy crust. The service was nothing special and the atmosphere was just average—nothing too eye-catching or impressive. It’s okay for a quick stop."
"Not only was the hostess and wait staff extraordinarily friendly, efficient, and helpful, but the food was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend the Carne Tortellini and the Chicken Piccata with Artichoke Hearts. Deeeeelicious!"
"9/5/25 - was visiting on a mini vacation. The place is in a shared building with other restaurants to try. The service was little show here when it didn't seem that busy. But our server was still super nice. The food looked average but I was so wrong, it was very delicious. Everyone loved their food. I got the shrimp scampi. My friend got the lasuagne, it was a huge portion. My friend did a make your own with pesto sauce, the sauce was delicious, and my husband got a margarita pizza. Would super recommend."
