Fifty-Third Winery 5k & 10k Run
Program Details & Spotlights
Lace up your running shoes for a scenic morning 5k or 10k race winding through the rolling hills and picturesque grapevines of Fifty-Third Winery & Vineyard. Organized by Bishop’s Events, this point-series run raises valuable proceeds for the Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue. After crossing the finish line, participants can celebrate their achievements at the winery's modern tasting room with a refreshing glass of award-winning estate wine and light fare.
There is something magical about a crisp morning in Louisa County, especially when the rising sun illuminates the dew-kissed vines of one of the region's most beloved estates. If you are looking to escape the lakefront for a morning and challenge yourself on the rolling hills of Central Virginia’s wine country, the Fifty-Third Winery 5k & 10k Run is the perfect local tradition. It brings together fitness enthusiasts, nature lovers, and wine aficionados for an unforgettable morning of community spirit and scenic footpaths.
Organized by the seasoned team at Bishop’s Events, this race offers runners and walkers a unique opportunity to weave directly through the estate’s scenic rows of grapevines. Unlike standard paved road races, this course embraces the natural, rolling terrain of the Piedmont region. You will feel the soft earth beneath your feet and breathe in the fresh country air as you conquer the gentle inclines, with the reward of panoramic vineyard views greeting you at every turn.
What makes this event truly special to our tight-knit Lake Anna and Louisa communities is its heart. Every stride you take helps support the Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue, a fantastic organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating companion animals and farm animals alike. It is a wonderful feeling to know your morning workout directly contributes to giving local animals a second chance at a happy life.
Once you cross the finish line, the true vineyard experience begins. Runners can cool down and celebrate their achievements inside Fifty-Third Winery’s stunning, LEED-certified platinum tasting room or out on the expansive, sun-drenched patio. Your registration includes a pour of their award-winning, estate-grown Virginia wine—whether you prefer a crisp, refreshing white to cool off or a bold, complex red to savor alongside light bites and lively conversations with your fellow runners.
